Faster aiming

What i suggest is to make some shortcuts in aiming mode. You still have to launch aiming screen, by clicking on opponent, but then you can use certain button on your keyboard to pick body part. Imo this would be very useful in RT fights. Or is there something like this already in game? Sorry for bad English.

ive been thinking about this a lot too. Something like aim, aim screen pops up then press [E] for eyes then shoot. This will be a lot faster than manually clicking the eyes

or fallout tactics script: one shot for eyes and next shot is automatic ;p

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. Dont. I disagree. Because all biggunners will start to whine how are snipers overpowered...

 (i am sniper, so it is little irony from me)

So you basically want a magical shortkey to make the players actions as less necessary as possible?

Why just a button? Make it simple:

Errr no. Magical shortkey would be like: press e to shot nearest enemy's eyes. Did you read first post? Its not long you know...

Nope, sorry. Aimed shots are working perfectly now. Especially in the RT, when a player have to actually focus on the shot itself loosing the grasp of what is going on around him for a second... Just as it is in real life, when you look down the scope of a rifle and all you can see is the target...

This game is not like every else MMORPG there is. Let's keep it that way 8)

Interesting idea but woudnt it break the mechanics of combat/game somehow?

It seems like you guys just like clicking. The fact that you have to click twice, in two different parts of the screen in order to just shoot, has nothing to do with a gameplay - it's a bad game design. The giant menu, covering half of the screen, popping up in the middle of the fight is a heritage from TB system, totally inadequate in RL combat.

Not to mention that it provokes to use auto aim bots, which make the game unfair, but it's another story.

So, +1 for the idea.

The need of an actual aim should be represented by action points. And aimed shots are not cheap at all. So either reduce additional APs needed for aimed shots and keep current aiming system or enable shortcuts. Imho FoT aim script (1 regular aimed shot and every other goes to selected spot without popup menu) is best solution.

Add VATS. When someone's aiming in RT all the map freezes.
