I would say a SG burster for your first build because that was my very first build.

He obviously likes energy weapons, this session they are very powerful, it's a wise choice. Thief alt would be handy, but even without it he can still craft laser pistols + ammo and farm laser rifles on supermutants.

making a thief is at top 2h job even for a starter, and from what iv seen buying rifles for ammo in san fran is like hmm 3? 4? times faster than when hunting muties. not to mention ammo itself. from a hunt you barelly get more than you spent
