When I try to run FOnline it says Data file 'Datafiles2238.cfg' not found. Run Updater.exe. and then the loading screen comes up and it loads as usual but I can't use the mouse? and it doesnt let me log in.

Run FO2238Config.exe and set up paths to Master/Critter dat (should be in Fallout 2 folder).

I've been having the same problem...Except I did that, and it does the same thing as before: everything is called "you see nothing out of the ordinary", even me, and when i go into the world map, it is black, I can't see where I am, some towns don't show up...the only difference is now I can see the mouse. I found an encounter, of something like giant rats, bloodbeasts, and mantis....idk wtf to do now! I've been tryiing everything for the last hour and a half...The updater would say unable to save file on all the "faction...".zip, and I'm not sure how I did it, reinstalled and made like 4 different FOnline folders till I got all the files. When I run the updater, it says Update complete. Help please?

Also, as a little note, the server was off again today, and when it came back on, I've tried turning on the game but it went into that state I said there, so i tried to update, and the entire chain began....hope this clears something up
Also, the game starts up in a tiny dialog box with a completely black box, and in the same place where messages are reported during registration, it says "start script failure". The dialog box is centered and is the same thing as the login background at the top during a non-error login... please help me!
I relogged to another character, and the map stretches down from 0:0 to 27:29, nothing below or to the right of that...I have run out of ideas after reinstalling this for the seventh time, I hope someone will be able to help me with this. But I'm not even sure why it's happening, because the game worked fine yesterday, and after the server went back up, without any changes whatsoever to the game files, it stopped working properly

IT WORKS PRAISE THE FONLINE GODS! I have no clue what I did differently this time, but I reinstalled it, set the paths, and updated.....and it turns on normally. I hope this helpes anyone in the future having similar problems
