I will make a suggestion to you, if you find the difficulty of this game is too high, there are other games to suit your tastes. I started playing on this server barely a week ago, and I've already got a few characters to level 10+, with only my own wits and means. Dated or not. The Wiki has information that is currently applicable and more than enough help to get started.

If you spot an outdated article, you can edit it to update it. Ask for editing rights in #2238wiki IRC channel. I hope to see you there soon.
