no he meant if you need to give them anything in order to keep them around with you.

you need to give them booze, nuka cola and iguana on a stick.

hmm where could i get those items. never seen a trader wit those items only new starting characters

you can buy as well as craft nuka cola. Booze can be bought from various bars around the wasteland, mostly for 100caps.

I dont know if every kind of booze works or only the "booze" item.

I dont know if it's possible to buy the iguana, but you can check the iguana stands in the ncr bazar or the hub market for example.
