Lol i'm guessing you never made a hth build, it's only use is pinning down one guy while your teammates kill him. You do no damage even with every possible perk to boost it.

your right am not enough of a troll to do so so.
i know from personal exp that 1 vs 1 if you dont get that 1 hex before the unarmed troll clicks on you your dead. that is very op. 1 vs 1 when that troll gets 1 hex your done. i also seen in hinkley many hh trolls camp small rooms and kill guys with ease. and yes you can do damage stop useing your hands there are power fist and such.

This is the problem with fonline, people talk about builds they have never made and throw around words like "op". Unarmed is completely useless at 24, a lvl 12 sg is more dangerous. The only thing it has going for it is HH since crit builds are useless due to low damage, nerfed perks and heavy anti crit mechanics. HH builds only work with enough ap to chain stun, even then it takes one second of delay or a miss to break the chain and get onehexed and it would take like 20 punches to kill anyone, if they are in armour with toughness forget about doing anything. Only way to survive long enough to get close is sneak and even then once you attack you will die by the next thing that shoots you. HH tanks don't survive. Every build has its weaknesses and strengths, not all are equal and if whatever build you are using is worse than a bluesuit sneaker you need to reroll.

hey i'm not the one whining 95% of the time for things that people shouldn't whine about and that are of zero relevance to this game's balance and gameplay, ok?

now onto the guide to get melee weapons.

rusty old knife = easy just craft it.
combat knife = easy. kill lone wanderers, female homesteaders near reno
wakizashi blade = easy. go kill yakuza on vs. encounters (vs. encounters only if you think they're too hard.)
spear/sharpened spears = easy. go kill tribals massively in klamath area. i think there's some tribals in new reno area if i'm correct? also, everyone knows tribals got shit AI, so enter in RT with an SG character (level 3) that uses mausers and start killing them. there's also craploads of raiders on the map with spears and mausers.
sledgehammer = easy. just craft it, go near redding where the black dudes are.
super sledge = medium. once you get one you can start killing some other NPC's, sell their guns, repeat.
ripper/cattle prod = easy/medium. get from caves, get from peasants @ klamath area.

now unto "unarmed" weaponry
just as easy. i'm not even gonna start to bother typing here.
