Low Reps Get Shot on Sight

It makes absolutely no sense that places like Shady Sands and New Reno would allow you to enter there towns when you have a really low reputation. You should be shot on sight. So far the only NPCs I see doing this are the Unity Patrol out of BH.

This would likely make, especially Shady Sands, towns more viable for crafting and bartering. As it is, because of the thirty-thousand thief alts running around, I have to trade at train-stations and craft in my shanty.

I just realized that NCR caravan isn't encounterable anymore? Or I'm just stupid. Oh right, Solar got rid of all the "caravans". (That wasn't complaining, just remembering something.) Um anyway... I guess that's why you are saying it only applies to places like VC and BH and not NCR. Anyway, when you become Antipathy, the groups in random encounters will attack you, it's just that due to the changes there is no different hostile enemy around NCR for low-rep people. And then, as falloutdude said, at -1500 you are Vilified and shot on sight in town.

Also, New Reno is unguarded, and if a player kills the NPCs in New Reno, they become FOREVER HOSTILE anyway.

Unless you want shoot-on-sight in guarded towns at Antipathy, which would be quite harsh, it won't really help anyway to lower the griefing. For example, that Leela thief has at least three thief alts... as soon as she dies, she logs onto the next one and then the next one, so bad reputation doesn't affect alters.

I often forget New Reno isn't guarded, as its one of the few places I can trade in peace. That and there are rather large men with larger guns on every corner....

But I see your point. Most greifers have a bajillion alts so they can keep reloging. Seen it one to many times. Killed a thief named Mammoth in NCR earlier (him and one bramin are all that are on my kill tab at lvl 8 :P) and Mastodon, I assume an alt, popped in and suicide grenades me.

I guess I'll just have to only visit the Shady Sands when I'm blue and empty....
To bad too, wanted to start a 'mission' for newbs there.

Reputation system is another joke of 2238 logic :D

they start to shoot you when u try fight back ur reputation will go worse. U can be idolized and kill people in towns and more more blablabla
