Nerf weapon handling

Right now for builds that do fight it's basically 2 extra SPECIAL points. CW isn't that important.
It's a big bonus and it work for every build that uses guns. It's out of all other 3 level perks league.
It's very good and other perks on that level are useful for much narrower groups of builds.

My proposal is to make it +1 ST for weapon penalties instead of +2 and move it to 6th level perks.

it has been nerfed already.

Less CW on PvP apes will bring more looter-alts.

I would add Strong Back and Pack Rat to support perks.

I don't know what are you talking about.
If anything, it would make PvP apes have more CW because they would have to invest one more point into ST.

I agree moving at least one of the carry weight perks to support perks would be a good idea.

They already have "Small Frame", +1ST wont change anything.

Since Wipe the best armor is Metal Armor mk2, try to loot 3 of them with APE build, and You want to decrease CW even more. It will disallow Metal Armors as a prime armor for all snipers.

I don't want CW to be decreased. I want weapon handling bonus to ST to be decreased and perk moved to 6th level.

anyway there is  4 useful perks but for taxi etc. It was nerfed and we dont need to nerf it more.

Irrelevant. Perk changes can be (and should be) made along with server wipes.

Yes but like I said what is different is that taxi etc is just one specific build and anything that shoots guns is much, much broader group.
Most builds that don't take this perk are builds that players would like to get rid of, if possible (crafter alts, taxi alts etc).

Maybe we should think about add second good perk on 3 lvl and stop nerfing? :) For example toughness or something. But trust me, after wipe there is more options to make specific build i made few and i have ideas for next.

There are few other good perks at lvl 3 such as More Critical. I see problem in having other lvl 3 perks underpowered compared to weapon handling.

I think 3rd level +5% More Critical must be the most overrated perk in this game.
It makes difference less than 1 / 20 times you shoot (in exactly 4.75% cases you fire at someone).
It's nowhere near the usefulness of 2 special points from weapon handling.

It's not about "nerfing the game", it's about making the perks properly balanced.

Maybe we do something nice for PVP apes and make weapon handling +5Str, and drugs growns on trees.

If you want to nerf wh just to +1str then also nerf gain str to +0.5str.

Nice joke about nerfing already nerfed perk. If you want to see builds with more ST, just suggest carrying weight affect something, like AP regeneration or penalty to AP, then CW perks will be useful, as they will work like some kind of action boys. In Arcanum, there're weight stages, each stage decreases your AP on 1 or may be 2 sometimes. Then low ST builds will have their penalties.

Gain ST is on level 12 so it competes with many more perks that are actually good. "0.5" could be easily done with Weapon handling though - simply instead of +2 ST reduce the weapon penalty by 30 percentage points and you have +1.5 ST.
