So why would anyone make a build without it? We have already had this, it was called fastshot big gunners.

this.

Do you think fast shot nerf was good? Because, from what I remember, everyone was against it. And now everyone is bringing this argument.
They nerfed Fast Shot to nerf BGs, which brought a little more balance to the PvP grounds.
Now, they also nerfed snipers against heavy tanks with helmets and all the anti crit perks, but changed Finesse to even it out just a bit - snipers are still powerful, maybe even more than they were, against non-resistant characters, like sneakers in example. I see the rock-paper-scissors thinking in those changes, which is good, at least in my opinion.

You still have the critical big gunner builds... Calculate the damage - if it's worth taking it for the extra critical chance, or not because of +30% DR for all the non-critical bursts. Dillema.

sure, having every crit based build on the server reroll 2months in the season is a well thought out change.

I wouldnt have minded if they introduced this change with the wipe, but now I think that they are ways to get similar results without changing traits so that noone has to reroll. that is basically the whole point.
Heh, tell me that, the only character(playable, with max level, others were 3-10) I had, has been made useless. Fighting skills had been taken away. I returned back into the starting point :)

I guess you feel similiar pain as I had felt... Of course, take into account, your current builds are still viable even with this change :)

I was thinking about a 6 luck finesse character. It cancrit a lot, having max perc and around 250 hp..crazy as fuck.Wonder if it would work with so low crit rolls..

I guess you mean wipe...
As I know from some post on some thread Solar made it already, but was interrupted and forgot to implement it. Or you want to say you think that next update will be wipe? :D

I dunno how it is with FOnline, but I always thought Finesse and AP rounds were crap in Fallout 2. The 30% DR thing would knock down your base damage which would mean that much less damage would be available to multiply with the critical hit.

Conversely though, removing the DR penalty seems overpowered for the 25-30% crit chance people doing aimed shots. I don't remember the exact breakdowns, but if you're getting crits most of the time at full damage that's going to outweigh the penalty on non-crits.
