Any other towns they spawn, other than NCR, Hub, and Junktown?  There's this guy with dozens of alts who keeps camping the normal places, I haven't seen a companion that wasn't a melee build in over a month, and the melee one was literally 1 in over a month...

Yea they spawn in Den too. I was found 210hp BG in Becky Bar.

Dang that's a bit outta my walk path for when I look for one but if it's the only way to get one that hasn't been scooped up by the camping noob, I don't have much choice.  I wonder if BH or Redding has some too?

I can check it. I got a lot time at night so i can camp and let you know. But i never saw companions in BH or Redding. Or i havent luck in this towns.

Appreciate it, it will be helpful information for everyone, keep your eyes out though if this multi-alt Barman(#) guy has campers in those places, it means they probably do have companions, and that good luck getting them...

May have been asked before somewhere else but: How to I get followers? I have a brahmin and THAT. IS. IT.
I went to broken hills and they didn't shoot me on sight for once, when I tried to buy an unarmed mutant for help killing geckos (I hate getting swarmed by 11 of the sods) he said no. I have 4 charisma and 34 speech. I know about follower points or whatever they are called, but is it because I have hit my follower limit, or because I just don't have enough points?

check your pp by ~pp command. You nead to have at least free 70 pp to buy a mutant

What the post above me said, also for a brief period having a brahmin even effected how many companions you could have.  I don't know if it's fixed but check your ~pp first and if you have 70 and still can't try handing off your Brahmin to a friend for a sec then try again.

brahmin takes up a follower slot not PP, with 4 cha he needs to get his speech up to get mercenaries.

Ahhhh ok. yeah, added it up and it was about 51 PP.
For some reason the ~ command doesn't seem to work but I;ll try again

Its just ~pp, if you take mentats you can hire one guy or take a 50 pp melee merc.
