No, you don't. He's not suggesting to make it harder to craft the items, he's suggesting to make it impossible till the teacher gets fixed, which is a bit different. :) In the case he is suggesting, nobody can craft BG lvl 3 items, which seems fair to him, more than now, when it is available to those who were fast enough. So everyone will have the same opportunity to get those items - only by killing NPCs.
Also, it's not hard to get to the teacher, it's not possible, cause he is removed. Although no dev did say anything about the missing teacher, I suppose he will be back at the time he is fixed. I believe at the moment, his presence will be permanent, but not till then.

Alright, my mistake actually. Still I think it's a good thing if some people are lucky enough to get the skill, as it allows more weapons and ammos to hit the market.

Before talking any temporary fixes, it'd be good to get a statement on approximately how long BG3 will remain unavailable. If it's just a few more days, there is really no problem.

Peoples with Big Gun 3 profession spent time, money and effort to get there, nerfing them wouldn't be fait either.
As said previously knowing approximatly when it will be up again would be a first start, annd then having it open again is all that we need.

i bet u got lvl 3 big guns lol
no1 talking about taking away ur ability to craft stuff after everything is fixed u will not loose anything even ur effort to learn bg3
