nerf people who got big guns lvl 3
ozarik:
as i mentioned b4 http://fodev.net/forum/index.php?topic=1993.0
there is some imbalance on 2238
some people do have big guns lvl 3 and they can craft it for their faction
and some people dont have it
this difference between a guy with minigun and avenger is simple ~30%
and its obvious that random people who are playing with their friends and not with big factions have disadvantage
ofc people can buy avengers and ap rockets but lets say its not fair first u have to farm for money, then find a vendor to sell stuff, then u buy overpriced avenger and ap rockets :P. in the end u wasted lots of time bcoz of this "imbalance" rather then farm iron ore and minerals and junk close to ur base wich is 10 times safer
so to make it fair i got a suggestion:
lets add some material which isnt ingame atm to the lvl 3 items recipes so people cant craft them
ofc later when u make npc who teach us bg3 available it will be ez to fix recipes :)
RJ:
You can get those Avengers Miniguns from Enclave patrols. That's how people had them before BG 3. Still hunting Enclave is a bit risky but much faster than crafting.

Well, what's the point of asking for everything to be easier of access and much faster to get ? There's a whole point of actually making things past a certain level not as easy to make as less powerful stuff, and making the hi-end level stuff harder to get will only dig a bigger gap between individuals or very small factions and big factions.
My take on this is that being part of a small faction at the moment never stopped me from making high-end stuff, so I don't really see what's your problem, apart from complaining that a guy alone will have a hard time crafting Avengers, which definitely makes sense in a way. Get friends or get your a** in a small faction, that should sort your problem out really.

Both of you are speaking about something totally else. :)
He is complaining, that BG lvl 3 teacher was available only for a short time, few people get it and the rest have bad luck, which doesn't seem fair to him. This is not about how hard is to make stuff.

I think I perfectly got his point in the first place, and all I'm saying is that what he's offering to have (making BG3 items harder to get) won't be of any good to anyone, maybe apart from large factions which have BG3 crafters available whatever the odds are to meet the instructor and lots of people to gather resources no matter how hard an item is to be made. I may shall have been more specific and proposed my own solution to the problem : make the instructor presence permanent and/or fix the bugs which make him hard to get to in the first place.
