AFAIK there is no detailed idea for private mines, all we know so far they are not worth to buy.
This is my vision of such mine, "top" level already made:

, as usual free to take, remake and what not.
What about the way these mines should work? Depleting resources or not? Limited number of them or not? Random spawn or free to choose, like with DIY bases? Price suggestions? Possibility to buy "faction" mine with faction leader, so any faction members/friends can use it?

love it, private mine is my favourite thing but cant get any atm =( sense am poor. if it was to looks like this thou i will most likely find a way to raise enough.

I like it very much. I think you should be able to buy faction mines, it might also make them more viable.

Last I had heard, private mines were broken (kept disappearing after purchase). Has this changed? I hadn't heard it had although I wasn't really paying that close of attention either. I like the above picture of what a mine could look like though and I also enjoy the idea of a faction mine. Naturally if I ever bought one I'd share it with my faction regardless...

Gotta absolutely love Wichuras maps. Including it in the faction base system is something awesome just to think about. Should also be a lot easier to implement, considering it would be technicaly just another base.
In my opinion:
Of course resources shall not be depletable; that was stupid back then and will it be stupid right now. Of course, they should be spread to larger areas (deposit having less than in public mines) and regenerate a lot more slowely. Random quantity on purchase (100-200 random type resources, 1:10 spawning hq deposit) would kick ass.
Picking a location for the base is pretty strangled as it is, should not be with mines (draging a guy somewhere and telling him to make you an abandoned mine there?) though it should be at least semi-aviable, e.g. picking a general location for the mine (around what city?) - as it was, i believe, intended before.
Price suggestion (on todays economy) is 30k. Of course, subjectible to inflation (like in cars case).

Absolutely love the maps, Wichura!
How about some new underground interior, too?
Also, in my opinion, there should be also some mid-tier critters to clear out after purchase. And sincerely hope that devs fix them in next update, since i almost have the sum together...

I think it has a lot of potential. If they weren't depleted but had a lower spawn rate that would be an AMAZING way to do things. It would still maintain a limit on how much was produced, but those of us small groupers could purchase one and not have to fight the entire server pop for a few pieces of resource. I think it would bring up a way better chance for the more casual smaller groups to get into things. The only issue I see with it isn't with anything in the map or this suggested mine system, it's the need for the advanced bench. That will forever limit the smaller groups from getting anywhere.

That's awesome! Also I would suggest if you pay 75,000 caps for that mine there SHOULD be hq ores and minerals.
Or you pay less you get a mine with only normal ores and minerals, you pay more you get hq aswell.

I'm sad to say it seems like you're posting a lot in places just to get your speech % up, but in any case, HQ materials like ore and mineral are not rare, and not even that hard to get. I think that a mine that costs easily SEVEN times the amount of the second best base in the game (if you choose to build your own) Should not deplete, and should have hq materials, but and a lower respawn rate and capacity, to help mitigate the production.

Devs said many times that HQ are in unguarded areas to make people cooperate and mine in groups if they want to be safe.
A HQ mine would allow carebears to have access to pretty much everything possible in the game to craft without even leaving the safety of their base and mine.

Even if you have HQ ores and minerals you will still have to go to unsafe places to craft better gears because they all require advanced workbench so I don't see a problem why a private mine that costs a fortune shouldn't have HQ ores and minerals.
