Bug Tracking System
« on: January 16, 2012, 03:33:03 pm »

This is not a game suggestion but betatesting suggestion. I think forum really
isn't the best way to submit and track bugs. It's messy and search is primitive.
There is plenty of open source systems available. This game is getting bigger
and bigger and I have seen it with much smaller projects and teams.
It could also make it easier to submit/manage xploits because you can have
public/private issues.

Of course I'm thinking about public bug tracker not something you would use internally.
Please consider installing one, at least as a test (while keeping bug subforum).

Need. Everytime I report a bug, theres someone saying it's already reported.

Totally need this.
And anyway report bugs on forum is somehow.. Old I must say xD
Bug tracking system would be simpler for reporters and easier to find what bugs already fixed etc..

Also all of this can include simple system *post-by-click* i mean no registration, or simple pre-moderation option ( i mean you leave bug like post and moderator can prove dissaprove this in hour or more, anyway bug is often is not fixed in 1-6hours, so if moders can get 20 bug reports per day or more it can be good for fixing bugs, and i hope it gonna be less bugs at server (without bug reports, i mean there need to be not so much bugs for 20 per day :D;)

Oh you necromancer!

Anyway, as far as I know, 2238 devs don't want this, because it would be one more system to take care on the server.

There really is nothing more to add about the topic.

That statement isn't true anymore; we've been checking few bugtrackers some time ago, some day we may switch to that (but don't hold breath).
