What do you think of the encounter rate?
« on: January 15, 2012, 02:29:32 am »

I have noticed I don't get encountered as often and I was woundering if others think the same. I seem to get encountered once every 5-8 blocks (often time alot more) and I thought it was odd. ^^

Impossible to answer because when you're looking for them, they come too slowly and when no they are too often.

Hunting mode would be good, but it should make you slower.

Avoidance mode? That could be faster or slower- so it evens out to same speed, but maybe you don't heal (too busy being jumpy) but get 15% better OD for avoidance.

Could work.

Nothing has changed about how quickly you will find them, your speed is just faster so you travel further in that same time.

Do want.

It could even work like this: if you make alot of turns, you have a chance to find more encs. If you set your destination far away and walk long straight lines, your chances are smaller.

Ok smartasses, who killed all mutated molerats? ;]

Already suggested: if you cross your own worldmap path, you encounter something. seriously, there is on reason, to force players, to travel whole day, trying to find critters.
