I like Eternauta's part too, but for just talking about the first post, which was posted to be able to see if our friends are online, it could be abused to see if anyone is online. So, we should only be able to see if anyone in our faction is online, or if anyone that has tagged us green and we've tagged them green is online, to prevent aboose. Could be useful feature that wouldn't require an external program, even if irc/skype/etc are more useful.
