Well, yes, by re-working I'm saying make it so it doesn't give a disadvantage toward people who don't have a outside-of-game chatting program, and the easiest way to do that, I think, is to just make it so you can set the radio without having to make it be in your Active or Secondary item slot.
This.  Besides, I've always wondered if IRC and others should be considered cheating...  I mean, you kill a guy, he is 24 different pieces, yet he is still able to call in 40 of his fucking PB friends to get revenge because of it....

the problem is ca is too expensive and too weak at the same time, just a bit better than ma mk2 and still u can be crit. hit in eyes and killed in a sec, after the wipe please try balance  armors as well, if crafting something takes a few hours it supposed to give some protection ... or maybe 3d era with helmets and all that stuff will solve it out ...
i mean u cannot balance weapons without thinking about armors and drugs at the same time, a couple experienced pvp players from each faction could think about balancing everything if u give 'em a tool and cahcne to do it

im just saying when you put a radio into your hand, the little box to type in the freq opens up too, it cant be too hard to set it to where a different item "Combat armors" would still show that box?

Instead of radio, i think it would be more important to make something REALLY visible useful. As we can all see (check the model yourself if you want, and check The Vault) Combat Armors have backpacks included. Technically they could offer more space to store items, actually increasing carry weight. Even if i must admit that having a build-in radio might be the first step to "armor addons" maybe, just like speed load for revolver and extented magazine.

I've read whole thread once again and honestly... I lol'd. Especially about "canon reasons" for not implementing it back in 2010.

Headsets are actually canon.
While you are one the oil rig in F2 you can see an enclave soldier saying:"Ok who is chewing gum in the headset again!" or something like that.

I suggested radios for LAMKII and they added for CAMKII instead, it would be just fine if only we could actually distress with the helmet.

That's a bug. Fill a ticket on the bug tracker and I am sure a scripter will fix it.

Since that's no longer the case I just PM devs in IRC whenever I find bugs.
