I have three questions reguarding repairing items,

1. What is the second number used for? (for example 53%/92%, what is the 92% for?)
2. I heard you now use item duplicates to repair armor, such combat armor repair combat armor, Can you repair with items in " beyond repair" condition?
3. How much does skill affect how you repair?

1) second number is the max it can be repaired and its max effectiveness
2) only way to repair is to use the same item on the same item.(which makes sense) cant repair or use anything to repair that is beyond repair(which also makes sense)
3) am not sure about this one. just should be a decent ammount.

On the second question I ment can u use broken "beyond repair" to repair others in 40% (for example). I have been holding my broken crap incase of this reason.  If not, is there anything you can do with broken stuff?

Not sure if they have any repair value left, but for your second question: Disassemble it. Use science on it and you might get resources.
