Idea for The Wipe - Permadeath

I have got a cool idea, where everyone can learn a bit of psychology ;D
This is my first wipe so I do not know if this has happened before, but let`s hear it  8)

What about making characters to have replication 172800 seconds (=2 days) so every death would be terminal  :P

I would like to know how people would change their actions  ;)

Permadeath is a nice feature for co-operative completion of Fallout1/2 based on FOnline engine, so many players can play at the same time and it'll be harder to complete game because of permadeath, also it opens RP abilities and just adequate gameplay, no stupid rushes, suicidal actions, etc. Current FOnline, is MMO, permadeath will just make people grind more, you just raise your level by killing mobs and mindless NPCs, you don't have chain quests and main story-line quest, leveling happening in random encounters, it's just Quake/Unreal Tournament type gameplay, so there's no reason for permadeath.
Of course 2 days replication time isn't permadeath, it'll only raise number of alts, so you'll need to relog on another one while previous is dead. What for?

You are right, it is for pre-wipe madness until wipe 8)
Some people have 10+ PvP characters so it's not really permadeath for them.
So they can play more  ;D

I would spam server memory with 1st level alts:
5/6
10
10
1
1
10
4/3
small frame fast shot

39 hp

65% SG 42% FA 42% outdoorsman

long ranged SG weapon or bazooka on 40th hex or if target is near wall.

A lot people with that build holding bazookas will kill 21st level character, they just need to catch him on 40th hex, so missed rockets will explode on his position, and use long ranged weapon like gauss rifle or AR or anything for unaimed shooting, 10 PE and 65% SG will give you 95% to hit to 30 AC target up to 17 hexes.  :D

There's nothing what Stimpaks can't heal!

Permadeath in this game (or even long spawns) would make people to rage even more, also you wouldn't see any PvP at all, because you can die...

Perma-death is an awesome feature for roleplay servers (if any), but for a *PVP server* like 2238, i dont see the point, think about all the possibles abuses to kill someone, there would be massive ragequits.

Players would make tons of alts to play while there main(s) is (are) not usable for 2 days.

He was just talking about right now until wipe, I think. But yeah, there have been other threads, perma-death would just be abused or just make it not worth it to level. There are so many things that can almost insta-kill even the best players.

Perhaps the world takes longer to replicate a higher level character- but then we just spam lower level alts with a super-specialty.

Ironman Mode, as previously suggested many times, may help.
You get higher level cap and xp bonus, but either permadeath or triple+ respawn times/weakness.
This could just be ground as well.
