Is there any solution for this other than trying to move cars/mercs and hoping you remembered where you logged off?

i have the same problem, i think someone is blocking it.... or its bug,.. or i dont know

I had same problem when I loged off char A on car spawn hex at base, than I parked car there with char B and when i tried log back to A i got same massage as you, so reparking cars/mercs seams to be the only solution.

Yeah it's pretty much it

Some script should allow spawning at nearest free hex

I wonder if they've fixed it in CBT.
