Blocking upper part of maps.

Yes, this nasty . . . . .ehm feature.
I would like to suggest placing few rows of blocking hexes at top of some/all maps to prevent this nasty camping.

Vote and discuss.

Yes, but only to some maps. Because safe towns don't need this.

No.

Sniping from hide-spots is part of the game.

Get higher perception, maneuver around cover, etc.

Not Hello Kitty.

@swinglinered
your only  saying that because either your a troll.(highly likely)
or you play sniper all the time when trolling and dont want your 1 advantage to go away.

it makes no sense all we can see is your legs which is hard to aim on. when you get to see ever thing and shoot every thing comeing at you, when we are trying to find your legs to fire at.

Not to mention the fact that this is only an advantage for snipers and everyone else has to rely on actual tactics. I vote for blockers.

Sniping from some real hide spots, sure, not from edges of maps... It's just a lame trick to hide character name.
Maybe obstacles like trees should give significant AC bonus but not this.

It is a part of the game, but it is allowed and we got used to it. How will higher perception help there ? Maneuver around cover  ???

Pr0 arguments indeed.

Or render area beyond as pitch black, so that you can see whole character. I guess it would also help removing annoying scroll blockers.

Oh rly? I remember a long time ago one action in Klamath (in forest on north), when we knew, where is enemy (ya, automap feature), but we couldn't shoot him because of fucking scrolling, is it ok? So don't tell us, that it's part of game, because it can be considered as cheating/exploiting (ye, hiding in unreachable points of map is somehow exploiting, isn't it?)

Sounds like exploiting to me.
