The main problem that led to Redding project's dead is that people only thought about caps. The fact is we weren't grinding caps because the militia was extremly expensive to keep up. We thought about RP, you thought about caps, that's the difference but like Killian said nobody is upset because all TSARs knew it was going to go that way sooner or later. It was fun, we hope that people enjoyed it like we did but it's over by now.
Btw, if you think we didn't RP in Redding then you never came have a look John... yes we didn't claimed it everywhere but we did several RP events or simply talking RP in town.
nothing personal here, but just let me get this wrong.
the WHOLE tsar conflict and the WHOLE Hawks conflict woudl have been COMPLETELY avoided, if people actually talked and negotiated with each other.
From the TTTLA point of view, tsar just took one of their towns. period. Nothing happened. §weeks later their fingers began itching again, wanting to fight again in redding. I tell you, it was a relief after a month or so to finally be able to have tc in redding again.
But the point is, if you as the gang "The Sarmatians" would have made an official statement or conducted official discussions with the leaders of tttla and c88 then you would have gotten support for any RP in that town.
But you didn't.
Same thing for hawks, it was not until they already made up their minds about fighting us that they started official negotiations about how to solve this "problem". Also, the whole thing grew from little misunderstandings which can easily be solved by talking to each other and not going back to ones own mumble server, raging in one's mother tounge.
Same thing for BHH, instead of talking things out, everyone was fighting. We appreciated the PVP and we thought bhh would do the same.
And now to finally clear things up, with "official negotiations" I just mean that the higher ups of a gang talk to each other and that everyone can take everything word for word. I say this because we had a lot of problems with this sort of thing, "regular" members or even recruits saying something inside a town and the other gang think it's the official political standpoint of that whole gang, leading to even more misunderstandings.
Now the funny thing is, C88 always wants to talk. Instead of hiding on our own mumble server we made an irc channel that every member of every major gang can come into to talk. Now for some people that might not be the case we had some experiences with trolls and DoW irc scouts (lol) but members of the pk gangs dont need to talk anyway.
So, grim, if you have any problem with C88 in the future, what would be the best thing to do? Going onto the official forum and trying to let our own personal opinion (greatly influenced by the PE of your big gunner char) pass off as "fact" and "truth"? Yes of course, talking to us doesn't make any sense, right, You already heard it oftne enough on the forum, from people who never talked to us. They usually know best how impossible it is to talk with c88 eh.
