Water Bags for Miners

Water bags could be used on a miner to immediately lower his gathering timer by 10 minutes per bag.

Supersledge could be used for mining: doubles your gathering efficiency
Grenades could be used for mining: lands a random number of ore nuggets in the area, 5-10 per blast
Dynamite: lands 10-25 nuggets in the area per blast

  10 minutes is little much don't you think?  maybe 2... or 3.  10 str strongback alt miners ftw with their over 100+ carryweightness, taking on 50+ HQ ore and 50+ HQ mineral with several water bag :P.

I dunno if grenades should be used, I mean, grenades give of shrapnel, which would get into the ore and somewhat ruin it.  Dynamite sounds good however.

Suggestion overally seems good but needs little clarification.
- Does "Miner" mean mining slave mining player or any of them?
- Should mining slaves use grenades and dynamites too?

I don't think I really like any of these.  The waterbag one makes the most sense to me, but it would basically remove cooldowns.  Even at 1 minute.  Carry in 50 waterbags, mine till you can't carry anymore or have used up all your waterbags. Head to nearest base, drop off HQ, refill waterbags (taking as many drinks as you need to clear your timer) and head back to the mine.

Weren't cooldowns supposed to be removed anyway? Not like you can get unlimited amount, but without time cooldowns.

Water bags don't grow on trees at base, so you can't gather them as many as you want. Of course there're wells in guarded towns, but if water bags could remove CD for gathering, then wells in towns can be removed, may be only wells in unguarded towns or random encounters near popular towns and you'll get crafting or science or any other CD (which can't be removed with using water bag) while filling bag with water, so you can't make 50 water bags at once. So you'll have to fill 1 water bag, then wait some time, then again, and then some russian PK with russian mercs could come and kill you.

There's wells in most bases too.  But no that's a terrible idea, no wells in guarded towns? That really makes no sense.

Dynamite mining... like it could ever have any usage... BUT:
Obviously, though not in game mechanics yet, indoor usage of explosives is limited, going to mine and blowing a dynamite to get random number of resources is as silly as using grenade for that. You would use that in quarries (like NCR mine), and if there are any guard NPCs this might be a little tricky.
And yet another problem, you are getting what you spend which is not very good feature.

Drinking water: basically the best way to get this would be to reduce cooldown by using cooldown (ie. having water done as "drug" and seeing nothing happens till it expires).
I think it would be more fun if the water bag was "drug" that would reduce action points spent for mining vein.
Supersledge mining: more risk, more gain, as well as making some sense. Might be nice thing to have.
