I know whats RP and i know its pure acting where noone knows you in RL, but sadly, most RP's that begin like the one mentioned above (the one i quoted) usually ends as a fucking RP porno. Thats why I mentioned that project needs you ideas, if you dont want to see "cybersex for freaks".
If people will be bored they will just do sex, drunk talk or sleep/off.

I like it, but without any kind of structured activity for each player or overarching theme it will probably just fall apart pretty quickly.

A few token 'job' scripts and assigned activities here and there will work wonders for giving the place an 'alive' feel. Alerts for when the vault mechanic needs to go do some generator maintenance, some super exciting terminal science, hell, even standing guard. These kind of things work best when every player has responsibilities, I imagine.

One random vault dweller will be a maniac. His aim is to kill every other dweller. Aim of others is to find out who is this maniac! Maniac will be the same level like others (1?), but he has a weapon! He must hide it from others and show it only to someone, when he gotta use it! There's also be LIMITED number of radios, computers/terminals for blocking/opening doors in special rooms. Also some NPCs who will provide any quests fot getting XP/items but also it'll force players to be alone, or complete quests all together. The Maniac has access to all terminals and computers, he can use cameras there to see locations and people, and when someone is alone, he can come there, say "hello.." and ask why he is alone, and then blow his head with his gun.

Don't you find it fun? =(

ha, if that is implemented it will most likely be a porno horror vault where the female is the maniac and likes to cut her potential male "friends" up before intercourse, but personally i wouldn't even be interested if i was the only male in a vault filled with hot women. Some freedom would be sweet, or some frequent raider attacks, if there would be 2 rival gangs in the vault i might be interested, would give switchblades some use, and if you kill anyone, absolutely anyone you'll be hated and become an outcast from the vault, or you could be pt in prison, and maybe have a makeshift police force with nightsticks and 10mm pistols, all of your stuff is unlootable, and the gangers could wear leather jackets, but only attack each others gangs, if they attack a bluesuit they get kicked from the vault.

Yeah great idea, it's like Cluedo =D

Another idea : Cylons have infiltrated the Vault and the other must find and kill them ^^ (in case of flaming I specify that this is only a joke)

Keep in mind the point of the vaults was to run social experiments. Ie one vault that got left open to see what would happen with the radiation leaking in, one vault that had crappy water chips to see what they would do when there only good one broke, etc.

So the main thing would be to first come up with the social experiment that Vault Tec would have been  enacting on this particular vault. So just thinking of some ideas; they hid a robot in a locked room that only the overseer could access and at a certain point in time the overseer is suppose to open the room to the robot and let it run it's commands (which would be a secret for the DM's to decide). Or another scenario could be that the vault was poisoned with some genetic mutagen that only killed people over the age of 18 so the only people in the vault left are children and they have to figure out how to survive. Another possible scenario could be that the vault is locked and permanently sealed so that there is no escape at all by normal means, but the module to recycle oxygen is going to go bad and the vault dwellers have to figure out a way to escape the vault before the oxygen runs out and they all die.

These are social experiments that I think might be interesting for an RP type event.

Damn, I was hoping we could just be any old vault. Seems it would be more interesting if we could create our own context rather than be placed within the V13 timeline.

Well if the target is Vault 13 then it is easy. You have two factions in the vault after the Lone Wandere left. The group lead by the overseer that want to keep everyone there and the group that wants to leave the vault and settle in the wastelands. Then the RP is all around the struggle there and trying to see who will win whether they will stay sealed in the vault or whether they leave to settle.

I agree though it would probably be cool if you created a new vault and setup a totally new scenario.
