Guards in no-weapon areas shoot hands to disarm not to kill for holding weapon

please, lets do something about it, this happens to me ALL the time, i always forget... :(
But on the other hand, i did learn my lesson. Now i switch to empty hand before i enter town... But im bound to forget again :D
Also sucky thing, it lowered my rep to antipathy with NCR, not cool when youre low level, have to run all the time in wasteland...

I think a much better idea would be just to stop the player from moving. I have died in every guarded area at least once. Mostly because I search the map and click where I want to go. If I am lucky I actually see the guards yelling at me. But it is still not enough time to stop and even less time to actually holster weapon. If I see guards yell and I am running I know I am going to die no matter how fast I react.

When guards are actively shouting at someone to drop weapons, the player's movement stops. Player would be be able to move again with another click, but only one hex and guards will shout a final warning. The shouting should also appear in the message box.

This should be enough to stop almost all accidental deaths.

Forgetting to put weapon away does not lower your rep, you did something else wrong. And if caravans are attacking you, that means that already did something bad two times to get -300 (or more negative) rep. My guess is that you stood at a brahmin-pen gateway or doorway for too long, no offense.

I'm thinking about this in some sorta post-apocalyptic way, not modern police way. If I were paranoid and were to see some crazy man running down the street with a gun, I'd shoot it. But, I still agree with suggestion that police should at least try to go for arm shots when they can, for game-play sake, so that game wouldn't be too carebear-ish.

even worse, cause i have NO idea what i did... i wasnt even near the pens, i just noticed it plumeted when the caravans started attacking me... Doesnt really matter, the only thing is that i have no idea how to get it back up. Its rising really slowly...
