Changelog 13/02/2010
« on: February 13, 2010, 02:39:03 pm »

FIXES:
- Traders are now unlootable by mercs and other NPCs.
- Merc prices should be working properly.

Nothing big, just some critical fixes. The reason is that we are working on some other bigger changes right now, so there likely won't be many updates in a while.

i wish mobs we killed in random encounters were unlootable by patrols and such.

yeah, i hate the fact that patrols loot bodies.
i was in an encounter recently with a friend. we came across BOS patrol fighting geckos.
my friend got killed in the crossfire from BOS miniguns as we were running away.
i thought well hell i can't do anything about this or they will kill me. they even grabbed his jacket like guards do in towns.
right then i assumed i couldn't kill them and get his belongings back (if i could kill them), cause its all deleted?

No, it's not deleted. It's just guard in towns have 'no steal mode' (to disallow stealing their ammo for example), that's why items they take 'disappear'.

so do the patrols make items they take disappear? if so i don't think they should.
from what i understand guards in towns do that to prevent the exploitation of players killing players and friends looting bodies.
so that wouldn't really be a problem in the wastes.

In wastes that prevents "let them kill each other, I will wait for loot". It should be however possible to change it so that critters you kill are not considered in that looting.

ok ok, i see.. i didn't think of that. i understand why you guys are in charge. :)
is there anything that can be done about being killed in crossfire, then patrols looting you? like when patrols accidentally burst you.

Dear Developers,

Could you please delete inactive players? For example:
1 level - after 7 days
2 - 14
21 - 147 (5 months)

Reason - most names are not available because of them.

Yours respectfully

If I remember well, Blizzard deletes inactive characters after 3 months (If someone creates a character with the same name, though).
