Read some of the sticky threads, search for threads about builds, how to's, beginner guides, ...
There's a lot of useful information on the forum, although it can be a bit hard to find from time to time.

Hi xasasx,
To restore your hit points you can use medicals, like Healing Powders, Stimpaks or Super Stimpaks (but watch out for side effects!) or use your FIRST AID skill. Simply, just select the FIRST AID from your SKILLS bar then point the yellow crosshair on character you want to heal up and click the left mouse button.

It's easy! ;)
