You don't need sneak to activate dynamite, if only activating will be disabled on WM. But still you need sneak to not instantly die from dog-nose guards when you enter bazaar with already activated dynamite. So you need to be sneaker in a party with demo expert friend who will give you activated dynamite, so yes, it'll be harder to suicide. The only good thing is last sentence in blog, because if "soon" means not very soon, then that sentence shows that it'll take even more time than "soon", so everyone will have enough time to bomb common way like now.

Well, there is a solution. Add a minimum fuse duration of 15-20 seconds. I dunno if this will really solve the problem, but atleast there wont be a NO-WEAPON zone.

It is not a no-weapon zone. Like I wrote above, you are only unable to activate the explosives when a guard is around. I don't see how this is a big deal. It makes the life easier for everyone in a guarded town and even suicide bombers can still do what they think is fun. It just became more difficult.

@soon: I try to not use the word anymore, as players tended to overexaggerate it into the sillyness a bit too often.

Well, after all it's up to you. For me adding a (quite high, around 200-250) sneak requirement to activate a bomb in guard sight (obiviously at a certain distance) is quite logic, but you are the dev.
@soon: why stopping? reading all what people think of "soon" is something that gives a few good laughs ;)

Well, what about pre-arming? They can still detect "Terrorist!".

Also- just having detonation seems like an odd thing to not be able to do on a suicide bomber.

The fuse is already in the bomb.

Ill tell you whats gonna happen. Suicide bombing will require sneakers, which will increase the sneakers population (and bring back a forgotten way of playing).  A big deal All of the bombers will cry and bitch, some will quit, but the bigger lot will find something else to abuse.... Like say, Bursting?, stealing? stealing and bursting with that brand new sneak character you just did because you cant get more lulz?. This is all about escalation, the more drastic the answer the harder will be the consequence. And all this because you are trying to change a community you helped to build. Congratulations, Ill be around when that gets instated (I sure hope anyway) and recap everything as it happens, summarize it up and link it to this post, just to show off a point ive been trying to get ACROSS for a while

People already steal and burst... if the people that used to bomb are now bursters, it would still be better than if those people were bombing - they can only kill 1 or 2 at a time, not 5. I don't see how that is a bad thing. The only thing that will come out of restricting bombing is less grieving, which is the way it should be.

I give +1 and so does Ben
I know, but the fact that a guard is in there doesnt mean that weapons-explosives cannot be used. Guards will attack if they notice, nothing easier. Just say NO because guards are around is like making a zone where simply you cannot use weapon.
It is a guarded town, why would making it that way in more than just name be a bad thing? I understand that there will have to be some measures implemented to deal with the thieving that will arise from not being able to kill unprotected thieves but maybe they can just rig the guards to do that instead.

Its true people will cluster more since suicide bombers will be far less, however trust me on this, people resigned to grief by bursting are way way way more annoying that bombers. Sure a bomber can pull off a good one and take out 5 or 6 people singlehandedly (And that even looks awesome!) however that will be the end of it, and more often than not they will just take 2 or 3 out at most, however bursters have this nasty habit of coming back over and over and over again. There was someone called Death, who I found quite admiring, bursted and died well over 100 times in a couple hours... The NCR was at its best.

I just said what i think. For me just the fact of a guard nearby stops your character to move it's fingers it's stupid. Feel free to think it the way you want. Guards in towns shouldnt be gods, able to change the way you think so drastically.

I think that the guards should be more responsive but yes they are way too powerful. I remember trying to kill some asshole in a guarded town and being dead before I even shot. Junktown guards are the only "mortal" guards in all the guarded towns.

About that... I think guards in every guarded town should have around 200 hit points just like most powerbuilds. It's really weird when you see extremely high hit points with awareness. This could even apply for NPCs in respawn maps, what do they need 9999 hit points for? are they afraid of crit unarmed powerbuilds?

Most funniest in this all is that 9999 hp guards can be instant killed xD

Are there any 9999hp guards in the game? Because there shouldn't be any.
