My fun questions about Intrest rates...

How does this work? Is it like 1% per (real) day? How much time must pass to get the 1 % ( is it yearly?)? How do you get the 1%? (Do you need to deposit a certain amount?) How does you % rise?

interest was cancelled out after bank had a recession.  now no caps in the bank to withdaw.

Actually, it is possible to withdraw, but ammount of caps is limited. It depends on how much money will put in i think.

And for the main question:
Interest was 1-3% (randomly chosen by server) every few hours (3x per real life day i think). So in average, you get 2% three times a day, that was 6% per day.

Now imagine someone putting in million per day Insane, isnt it

At this point if you put caps in most likely someone else will withdraw them before you are back.
It's yet another trap for newbies in this game.

Yeah, specially, when it is ADVISED on wiki as beginners tips.

To be honest, it was one of things, that almost make me quit. I have spend lots of time by crafting and selling drugs. Made about 2 000 000 caps without interest counted. Thinking, that if i will have income from interest about 50k a day, i would not need to craft anything anymore, and just buy things from merchants and players.

Than, i was completely screwed. More than a month worth of every day harvesting cash and doing virtually nothing else down the drain, cause i can't withdraw them. (Well, i can, because i have a character camped there and use dual-login EDIT: (I mean't quick-relog . Like many many others. But i get about 20k caps a day) And we were said, bank is SAFE! NO IT'S NOT!

Right now, i don't see a damn reason for anyone to deposit money in the banks. Not even for moving cash from one char, to another. Leaving the money somewhere in the dark corner seems to be safer.

So after wipe, I'm guessing that the interest rate will NOT be returning. But will the banking system be reset as a whole? We will be able to deposit/withdraw freely again?



EDIT: Game also just let me enter bank and withdraw 40K caps. So that is a plus to the current situation, no?
