All of these things would be multiple nerfs to the point these expensive to craft, buy, maintain Minis etc really wouldn't be worth bothering with - that isn't the objective :P

Big Guns should still be the ultimate in slapping the crap out of someone. They need a bit of work, but some of these ideas just go way too far.

Yes, it's quite far going changes that I suggested here, mostly based on how they work IRL. It would redefine the whole cathegory of big guns - giving them even more firepower at the expense of availability and therefore make bigguners inspire fear on the wasteland as well as removing them from a common use.

Personally I would gladly not see something like a "pure" biggunner build at all, but but much rather big gun operating as an extra skill used mostly in heavy gang fights. It's an extreme, I know, but somehow I believe that it's SG (or EG) that are supposed to be a base for any combat character, BG are just support weapons for barrage fire. Here is how a real minigun work (old movie, but still fun to watch):

Yes, it is strong  ;) and it has a wide splash damage. It's a totally different class of weapons that should not be less powerful but somehow more limited than it is now. That's what I think.
