NPC Reinforcements
« on: July 12, 2011, 04:40:50 am »

For when the player members in NPC factions can take towns, I think this should be implemented.

Okay NPC reinforcements are only for NPC factions, and you need atleast 3 people tagged to you to get a squadron of NPC soldiers.

The more powerful the soldier, the less reinforcements you can get of them, and every soldier costs a certain amount of caps, depending on the how powerful they are

Enclave: 4 limit Enclave Combat Armor NPCs with Pulse weapons/Gauss weapons (costs 2000 caps each soldier)

BoS: 6 limit Brotherhood Armor NPCs with Miniguns/Rocket launchers (costs 1500 caps each soldier)

VC: 8 limit Combat Armor NPCs with lots of medical supplies and Pancor Jackhammers (costs 1000 caps each soldier)

Raiders: 10 raiders total, 5 using FN FALs, 5 using 14mm Pistols (costs 500 caps each soldier)

Each squadron or soldier(s) lasts a hour, if you get to the TC areas in unguarded towns (and the millitia is dead), they will stay until the fight ends or until they die.

Disregarding whatever horrible idea you got there (Im sorry but what I understood from that is just quite bad) you do realize those 4 enclave npc (equipped with APA not Combat armor or else they're not enclave) are much much more dangerous than all the other npc you mentioned... COMBINED?

I dare you farm a single enclave encounter so you see the sheer madness of your stupid idea (not that it cant be done, just that you just have no idea)

If Eternauta is in a gang, they are alright people. Otherwise Eternauta wouldn't be in that gang.

With the 3d era, there is a Enclave Combat Armor being made, not a damn APA

very little explained except for the type of "squadron" you get. for instance how are you supposed to have this squadron magically spawn on you? and could it be abused for anything other than tc (oh look free mercs!)?

Enclave: 4 Enclave Combat Armor NPCs with Pulse weapons/Gauss weapons

All armors have low resit against pulse dmg, also 2mm have -30% to dmg resist.

You will see Encalve everywhere!

It is BAD idea!

Don't know where you got your information DocAn, but if the wiki is up to date MOST armors have better resist against pulse (aka electrical) damage than normal damage, be that as it may I dislike this idea, It doesn't seem to be very well thought out, Who exactly gets to loot the container? Anyone in the faction? What's to stop someone and 2 friends from creating alts and abusing this, We don't need to have any strength we can rely on super enclave to come and rape a few people. Also, why do we get suggestions like these when domination is coming up?

Still don't like this idea.

We don't need more mercs.
No idea how this is more fair.  6 brotherhood npcs with miniguns for only 1500caps each?
As mentioned by ASDu, we could end up with your suggested 3 tagged people (all three merc leaders), and members of the raiders. So 3 people, and 25 mercs! No thanks.

Im not sure if im getting you correctly, but there is a limit to when NPC Reinforcements can be called in, everytime someone calls them in a cooldown is initated (like 30 mins-a hour)

It would do you good if you explained such things in the first place, even if you made an update to it by placing prices down onto it you've left it full of holes. You dont explain how exactly it will work so we can draw on such conclusions as ASDu or Brick pointed out.
