I have a sledgehammer, I am using it on the rocks, I know. But yet it always say "Unable to find the ore/mineral". I don't get it, I've been to like 50-100 of places and I get nothing. What am I doing wrong?

I have 4 STR and can easily carry 5 mineral/ore with sledgehammer and leather jacket and i still have additional weight.

i tend to go with the material crafting first and then my ws ranks after i'm sure i can make and carry the basics. My alt is having a really hard time right now because of his crappy 28% of outdoorsman, so i have to use my main to collect fruit and change them into rot gut, and then find a pal, make him wait 10-15 minutes with the rot gut so that i can make some basic flamer fuel...
