I don't blame people to come to player populated towns to fight with the inhabitants, looking for entertainment. It's what the whole game and TC should be about. But as such projects are hard to maintain (especially if you're the only ones currently active and thus the only target for roaming PvPers) they can be crushed easily. Even Redding's WWP, which lasted very long for such a project, were overpowered with the time.

your calling the peacefull man who does not want to encounter people a idiot? not everyone wants to fight some people. some want to rp , some want to call a place filled with ghouls home, not everyone is the same. besides nerco is one of the funniest places in game. runing around killing ghouls or just hideing some loot there for lolz my favourtite place not many people and many fun things to do.

If you want to try keeping this RP going, get scouts to detect any hostiles in the area, like patrols/ and stations in the sewers where they could alert you guys, and then you can prepare for battle or evacuate.

These scouts would have to just stand there for hours alone.

This is a general problem with such projects. Nobody wants to do guard duty at outter places for hours and much people are coming to such places with the hopes to find high entertainment without them doin much for it.

Such places and projects need either 1. Hardcore-(Role)Players that have fun with the current possibilities the game offers them and can creativly use them to create their own activities and won't get bored easily or 2. NPC Guards like Militia to guard the place and create safety for the ones who are too scared to hang around a place where they can be geekd anytime, thus creating an oportunity to have daily business like chatting or trading happening at the location.

In old Modoc times we only had one entrance, therefore the whole gathering happened there, turning the player-inhabitants into guards/militia at the same time. Business and guarding could be done simultaneously and because everyone was included in even the smallest shootout it was never boring.

Andreaz is right. I could explain with an essay derived from experienced from wwp project why this necropolis community will fall. But instead of that, let's just say the game doesn't support upholding a society.

Indeed, and a project with a private base with only invited inhabitants was already done. It failed at the end because of lacking entertainment for the inhabitants. One can say everybody is responsible for his own activities and the game offers enough possibilities, but not everybody thinks the same about activities. Whats cool for one is boring for the other.

I wanted to open a tannery one time and buy and sell hides and skins and armors crafted from. But find people who are interested in hunting brahmin and geckos all the time when they can grab their LSW and hunt unity vs X encounters and sell the loot for a worth of 100 Leather Jackets.

Hardcore Roleplayers would go on patrols. Afterall it is life, like such as the guards at NCR or TTTLA at New Reno.
Mercs wouldnt be bad, but mercs wont contact you nor warn you, and I dont think the merc Attack styles i suggested would be implemented :P
