Increasing skills with training

Surf:
Are you kidding? The levelling system in Oblivion is one of the worst (amongst so many other) flaws in this game. How people can actually like this way is beyond me. If this'll be in 2238 ( doubtful that it will, ever ), then enjoy watching people shooting each other 24/7 with BB guns to raise small guns skill, or just set up bots to do the shit for them. Truely a haven for bot users.

Grommok:
Surf, i'm not saying to change fallout's leveling system with oblivion's (i agree with the fact of it being one of the worse), i am just suggesting the possibility of increasing a little skills with practice. And, as i already said, it would be VERY limited (10-15 % max each level)

Bartosz:
I remember playing Morrowind and jumping instead of running cause, well, it was pumping my 'jumping' skill. Didn't really like it though.

Everything that one can do to raise a skill, will be done by the majority of players, up to the limit that's set. The thing is, if they will inevitably do it, then make the process at least funny. So we should better focus on other areas where at least some fun could be achieved.

Reginmund:
mini quest bonuses (not like gunrunners, need something that will actually involve player activity - a mini dungeon perhaps??) would seem more appropriate than say shoot x amount of times to get chance to raise skill y by 1% up to a max of 15%. however if you did want something like the latter than i would rather a smaller bonus such as 5 - 10% max since majority of levelling would be done with combat so even if you have to shoot 1000 times to get a 1% increase people would probably end up achieving that anyway.

LagMaster:
in Advent Rising you leveled your weapons and power skills by using them and unlocking alternative ways to shoot them, i remember jumping instead of running too to have level 5 acrobatics so i can charge=jump, dodge faster and do amaizing combows

aniway this will only make imbalance, only combat power builds level sing guns, but the other ones use quests, so they will be in advantage... again

so, a bid NO
