Consider the following: you have a leather armor, and you want to trade it for 100 pieces of 10mm JHP ammo. Where do you post your offer? In 'Sell', because you want to get rid of your leather armor, or in 'Buy', because you're interested in obtaining 100 pieces of ammo?

That's right, you have no idea, and neither does anyone else. You'll probably post it in both, wondering why there's no such thing as 'Barter(ing)' board.

If you know what you want to have, you might be able to put it into buying. If you don't know what you want to have or don't care, you put it into selling. That's at least my try at it.

What you've written is completely reasonable, but you're forgetting that buying and selling both imply exchanging items for money rather than other items, meaning that the names of the boards as they are now are inaccurate. If adding another one is really such a daunting task, I suggest renaming 'Buy' to 'Buying and Trading,' which seems to be a viable solution to the problem.

Buy/Sell -> need money
Auction -> use of bids
Barter -> no money

What's more, buy/sell/auction/barter, all concepts are more related to the exchange of goods than services. So if we wanted it to be exact we would also need a "Services" section (maybe even "Services wanted"/"Services offered", same way we got Buy/Sell).

What was the reason for separating Buy, Sell and Auction in the first place? I bet it's to make it even easier to find what you are actually looking for. If so, what is so wrong about my suggestion?
