In game my char has russian name and I have no problem with trading in NCR. I speak with people on english as I can.

Whats the problem? Im Czech. And just people have to accept that here in game is big part of players with slavonic roots. I can understand Czech, Slovakian, bit Poland, Bulgarian, Russian and so on. And Cyrillic? Thats no problem. If you are with slavonic roots, just learn the ABC and u get the point of talk. If u arent. U dont need to know ABC, because it wont tell u even a sh** ehm nothing. So stop being NAZI and let this server multi language Because its nice. Server pure english is boring

Then just don't allow non-english characters into general chat and encourage people to use their native-speak in "Out of character" if you must. And I guess removing cyrilic would only do some good to russians playing. People became really nazi about them after behaviour of some of them so they get shot on sight now. It's only making cross hate bigger then smaller.

What does it bother you, people, that someone uses a language you can't understand? It's their choice with whom they want to communicate. If you can't understand something they say, it means it's not addressed to you. Stop being fucking egocentric. And it's bullshit that you can't communicate with people. From my experience almost everyone knows some basic English. Let it be just "buy", "sell", "don't kill". Personally, I like that this game is so multinational, because I actually enjoy trying to talk in different languages.

You know how many mmos have multi language support? None because its a fucking stupid idea. The whole point is player interaction, you can't do that if you can't understand each other. Non english speakers should stick to TLA.

First of all, fonline is a great game and I can see the huge effort that is put into this.

The only thing that is bothering me is the lack of a common launguage.  You go to NCR: people speak polish, russian(mostly) and even swedish.
I mean the russians for example have their own server where english is forbidden. so cant we have a server where the only language for interaction is english?

Well, how exactly removing/punishing/whatever everybody who cannot or refuses to use English, will help you interact with them? If you can't interact with someone who can't speak English, you even more won't be able to interact with them if they are on TLA. Your argument doesn't make any sense.

It's not like different languages limit your freedom, they give you more OPTIONS. You can talk to those people, but you don't have to.

It's not that it's boring, it's just less interesting. Trying to communicate with someone without common language is interesting interaction on its own.

If people want to be realistic about the entire post-apocalyptic NORTH AMERICAN survival mmorpg, then I would have to agree that having a ton of Russians or other foreign peoples running around what is left of the United States speaking THEIR OWN native tongue is a little bit far of a stretch isn't it?? ((When did they get here? they drop bombs?How'd they all come to run around the country like this? xD))

Now, having said that... Racism, is bad  mmm-kay!? BUT there are mutants, ghouls and just general crazies (( meaning they the npc's))that will not hesitate to kill you either ((or give you a warning in ANY language))... There are an even amount, I think, of foreigners(( ie Russians,Polish,Icelandic,Norwegian etc..)) and even english speaking Americans that do not care what language you speak, they just want your shit... seriously, you will die O_O.

 I hate seeing people speaking a language I dont understand too, especially when I am wondering if their huge group of Russians are going to kill me again, but it's the way the game is...
I also hate to admit it, but having that kind of language-driven paranoia is exactly what this game needs to make it more "authentic" feeling and realistic.

It amazes me that surely there are people, which would call you a racist for calling someone "a fucking nigger" or "a stinking jew" just for kicks, but at the same time it bothers them, that some people are using their own language.

As for "language realism", there's really such a shitload of things that don't make sense in this game either in relation to the real world or game lore, that the language issue should be the last anyone should care about.

There's a lot of non-native English speakers, so there's a lot of foreign languages. Deal with it.
Disabling cyrillic won't stop people from talking in Russian. It just will make Russian look stupid. Just like English looks stupid written in cyrillic.

Either way it doesnt make the game any less enjoyable in my opinion.
It's frustrating, yes, that a majority of the shouts I see that are not useless spam are in a language I cannot even begin to understand. ((No, I will not waste my grinding time looking up what you're all saying in google! For yes, I have been told by some of these people to do my research if I cant understand them... and yes, they did say to use google to translate. They did tell me to do that using english quite well however))

It's easier to ignore people who you dont understand anyways... It's the same damn thing as not being able to understand them in the first place. Or something...
I dont understand Spanish either, but the people I run into who speak Spanish do speak in english just as frequently.
I guess when it all comes down to it, there really isnt much you can do about this. It's unrealistic to expect the Devs to be in favour of something that would obviously upset a large amount of players. Disabling cyrillic from shouts would only cause more problems than anything.
I kind of think it's pretty, even if I dont understand it xD
