First off, why do people mention COD and shit when discussing this game? Secondly will the weapons cost 1 less ap to shoot? otherwise it's just a nerf for a few weapons most of which arn't very good.

i posted this ideea on the supraface dwelers first, now i will post it here
how about there will be a few weapons with no clips: you must reload them bullet by bullet(like the striker or SPAS 12 or any other CoD MW2 shotgun exept AA-12 and Ranger)

so reload will be 1 AP but it will fill the magazine with only 1 bullet. It can be done with a small under-program:

Code: [Select]
void 1bullet_reload()
{
    if(reload_used==1)//or whatever the condition for using the reload mode is
    {
          if(current_ammo<max_ammo)
          {
              current_ammo++;
              current_AP--;
          }
    }
}

some weapons that will use this mode can be: hunting rifle, revolver(not the speed reloader) probably some level/pump action shotguns and why not the SniperRifle

consistency

back to the point it would make revolvers pretty damn useless if you have to reload 1 round at a time so 6ap if you empty it even if it might benefit a different play style where you reload each time you shoot i could only see that working in tb and it would just be tedious. its +1 for realism but -1 for gameplay.

This is pretty interesting idea. But in that case, weapons with manual reloading should have a boost in something else, e.g. it have to consume much less AP for the shooting.

The main problem with this suggestion lies within the animation. Though the full reload of e.g. revolver would cost "only" 2 times more AP, it would take 6 times more time. And i doubt that small guns need nerf like this. (I would end up running around with 7 revolvers so i don't have to reload them during random encouter.)

Anyway - so, you have to click the reload all the time, which is something like "right click, right click, right click, left click, right click, right click, right click, left click" just to load in 2 bullets? I don't really get this, but I think it would be easier to just make it like this - 1 missing bullet = 1 AP. That means, if my gun has 5 missing bullets, I press reload, lose 5 AP and my gun is fully loaded. If my gun has 1 missing bullet it would cost me only 1 AP to reload. Correct me if I'm wrong.
