i was wondering are mercs even worth buying? to go with them to the den or something?

Not really, no. If you want a guard for a base, they'll do the job. But if you want to travel with them, they're a total waste.

Damn but that is crappy, so i cant really take any one with me .... that sucks they should think about making that better too.

i was kinda playing with that ... well not with mercs but with slaves - not much differance mercs are ofc stronger but they cost alot ...

they are not rly strong , not being able to equip them with armor makes all humanoid ones v weak.
stuff they kill dont give you exp.
they dont use burst on dual mode items.
entering any encounter with them (hostile) forces you to fight or lose them if you run.
obviously they also dont know what "cover" means so in city fight they are gonna get killed rather fast...

well it would be that much of problem but as slaver NCR rangers and unity goes emo on you so i guess you need make north your home (and then you will have to deal with PK )

however i wonder how si the ghoul sniper merc - you can have one merc spot at expend of one perk - i wonder if he is good (wiki says popular ..and not realy expensive too ... just i wodner if he snipes (aimed head /eye shots or just egular ones)... anyone can tell ?

ghouls sniper is the best option for the price, you can plunk him down out of visual range of the entry point and he'll get 2 shots off before the players screen loads.

i got different question ... can you use merc as carry for your stuff /loot ?
or he will jump into any fight and die ...

also is there way in unwanted encoutners to escape with merc or he is lost everytime you run ?
