Game factions don't really have any grouped members or comradeship as you might think...

Be nice if they had a system that encouraged it, though.

True i thought there was going to be much more to it than this,I mean its the BROTHERHOOD it should be playing a serious part in the wasteland for people.Would be nice to have an admin or something along those lines run it.

I agree that npc factions should be more of a joint force.  I'm just glad FO2238 hasn't caught up to the history in the Fallout Universe, the brotherhood is a bunch of punks.

After the wipe, the NPC factions are going to be greatly expanded so they actually might have a useful purpose, and other factions (not just BoS) will be expanded.

To be honest, don't get your hopes up too much. It certainly won't be as we envisioned from the beginning, but it will be a good step on the way, now that the basic features are a lot more solid (by no means completed) and we can focus on trying to get this aspect of the game right.

Cool,If there was more to it like actual Ranks and divisions people could joint it would give it alot more meaning and depth to the hole experience,Also patrolling with some guards for an hour or something like that could be a cool feature ''Earn your paycheck type of thing'':)

I'm rather against having Enclave and the Brotherhood as factions for the future. There are others that players should be able to use without some of the most advanced groups out there, aside from NCR and SF, who Should be facets to the future of game factions.

Yeah, I agree. I'd sooner have players part of the Reno families, the Followers of the Apocalypse, etc.

But the work is done now, and it'd be a shame to waste it. Especially if those quests can be tweaked into a 'fill in the blanks' cookie cutter quests for every faction. The Followers have lost a patrol/the Wrights have lost a caravan/VC have lost a medical shipment etc, meaning that every faction is as packed with quests as any other. Obviously there'll be faction specific ones, but I'd rather 30 generic quests to keep players occupied than 2 individually crafted, unrepeatable ones.

Well depends on how far into the Fallout Universe lore you go, in 2242 The Enclave basically get's their teeth kicked in, and even before that, the Brotherhood isn't the power they once were because of encounters with the Enclave.  And then any time after that the Brotherhood gets much weaker by being stupid and going against NCR.  I do understand the idea behind not using the 'big guys'  Suppose the Children, Regulators, Rangers, New Reno families. Not a bad list.

Brotherhood gets weak from fighting Enclave and NCR?

Where do you get this "Lore"?

It's off topic but I'll answer too, it's also established in Fallout NV.  The brotherhood goes to war with NCR, and takes serious losses, along with sending some east (tactics) and another group more east (FO3).  Some of which hasn't happened yet.

On Topic.  More advancement on the npc factions +1.  Especially if people who farm you take rep hits.
