I like the idea with dogs, but anything else is a bit too OTT, in my opinion of course.

you gotta admit that having a baby deathclaw would be sweet, but brahmins shooting lasers from the eyes would be just awesome.

tamable dogs good idea, no big critters though. So small stuff only.
You outdoorsman for it though.
Things that you could tame:
Pigrats (75% outdoorsman)
Rats (25%)
Mantis (50%)
Dogs (75%)
Wolves (100%%)
Geckos (75%)
Golden geckos (125%)
Small deathclaws (200%)

just examples.

It would be a very interesting way to make outdoorsman about more than map speed. Very interesting idea - functions much the same as slaving. You knock a critter out. Use rope on it. Outdoorsman roll dictates whether or not it's tamed. Rinse and repeat.

Then if we could combine it with a companion/pet leveling up system, we'd have an interesting longterm gameplay feature.

Critters die at 0 Hp and below, so it'd have to be like brahmin system.

but yes I'd like this very much aswell.

I would love to see dogs be tamable. It would work like brahmim taming, except be harder. Much less chance to tame than a brahmin, so they will usually have to take a big bite out of you before you are able to tame them.

And, as above posts said, Outdoorsman would help tame it. Regular "Dogs" encounters will be easier (but not too easy) to tame, and "Wild Dogs" or "Wolves" encounters would be harder.

2000+ caps due to inflation-mechanic of Mercenary prices doesn't make any sense - it's a little dog.

Dogs, ok. They should be low cost outdoorsman booster as alternative way of buying them

Even molerats are fine cause it fits to Redding in F2. Yeah just molerat thing should be via perk or quest... dunno would be fun anyway (its still weaker than slave/merc common)

Those molerats in redding aren't really "tamed", they are just "injailed".
Only tameable creatures could be dogs, I agree. But please no ridicolous Gecko/Deathclaw/Floater/Molerat/Pigrat taming.  ::)

But knock them out does not mean you have to almost kill them. Even slaves can be captured if they are just laying on the groung with full HP.

Any ideas for dogs count pattern? Like dogs count = CH, or (CH/2)-1, or whatever? And should they count as regular merc in party?

+1 to this, I always wanted to wander around with wolves horde :>

you "can" buy dog merks, but taming them on yout own is a good ideea

and some others animals too,but rats? or deathclaws?

we can't enslave Rangers,so you wanna tame deathclaws?

i sugest only dogs, brahmins and (mayby) Molerats
everything else is just to weak or to ridiculos

also there are "tammed" molerats in Ghost Farm
