Add "refresh" option in town preview
« on: March 22, 2011, 12:51:01 am »

town control preview has been upgraded quite well since now, but still if you check situation you need to press "back" and then preview again to get newer view of the town and this way is not very convenient. I think it would be cool if "refresh" button would be added near these.

If you are afraid of players spamming refresh button you could add like 3-5 seconds cooldown or something :>

Agreed, although not really necessary, as long as it doesn't bug out on you like it has on me.... rarely though.  Would lengthen you're mouse's lifetime.

This is a very good suggestion. Agreed.

Crappy shop, even useless, as client draws the Font on the button anyway. ;D I was just bored.

I don't like it.
Either make it completly realtime, or limit it even more.
Adding button to refresh it, would result in pretty nasty clickfest.

I still can be reached over e-mail if you somehow need anything from me. Don't see a reason why you would, but if you do, e-mail remains the safest bet, as I do not visit this forum reliably anymore.

I like this suggestion.
Because it's very annoing to go town, if you don't see PKs.
But with this feature you could see players, if you can wait when they move near spot.

But! also PKs can use this as adventage.

hehe good job surf :> Thats what im talkin about. Also dont talk about clicking fest or anything. I find this feature mostly useful when you spot for example 3 guys in new reno, you dont know any of them, you want to see if they fight each other, if they just stand, if they went to trade or whatever, entering the town to see that might end bad :< 'and clicking refresh once every 3-5 minutes wouldnt be spamm or anything :> And anyway, you do the same now, just it is very inconvenient.

Making preview even easier, even faster, even more efficient? Heh... I'm not sure I do want this...

Not a bad idea, but I think it's treating a symptom rather than the cause. The actual problem is that entrance grid ambushes are easy and effective. How do you fix that?
