But in answer to your question, yes you can use 5mm AP, it depends on your Charisma. Its ~120 if I remember correctly.

till marked wont get richer with BG3 crafters AP ammo is rare..

No, the guard will say that for 10 AP rockets he will MERELY CONSIDER your appliance. The problem of course is, AP rockets can only be produced by people in BoS faction, so they are making a fortune now.
BTW, i believe that BoS will grow very fast, since its healthy for reputation and placed near the infrastructure, unlike Enclave.
