if an NPC can """give someone XP"" why wouldn't a player be able to?
I'm probably going to get flamed for this, but i think it is sort of a neat idea,
I mentioned in another post about quests, and ""player quests" came up, something very unofficial in the game, basically get someone an item, and they will pay you for it , blah blah blah,
but why not have the ability to pay the player in xp too?
There would of course be a limit on how much xp you can give someone per level, and you have to give it to them while they are standing next to you,
so maybe a level 15 could give a level 10 say 1000 xp tops, then you could really have ""player quests"" in the game, with great rewards aside from caps, and items.
or maybe a level 5 is just lazy or wants to multitask and wants a particular ( crafting item?) he sends the level 2 to go do said task, and the level 5 could pay him 50 caps, 75 XP or what have you.
I dont know how hard that would be to program for the devs, but you would just need some kind of cool down so you cant ""power level"" lower level characters
In any case it would add a much needed depth to the game as there aren't that many decent NPC quests ATM
It's open for debate. no stupid responses please.

Well, if there was some sort of control like at lvl 21 I can only give some to lvl 20, less to a lvl 19, even less to lvl 18, maybe.
Otherwise people who are at lvl 21 already have lots of useless EXP would make others lvl 21.

Because stronger character = easier and more xp there should be "xp resistance" to other character like Finesse but per lvl (4XR*lvl=total XR so you will need more xp to gave [500xp is more if its from 1lvl than 2]).

So the player giving the xp would have a max amount he could give a player based on the receiving players xp
( man that sounds just wrong )
so maybe 200 xp Level 1 250 xp level 2 300 xp level 3 etc
you have an interesting formula going there, but aside from max amount the player should still have the choice of how much to give, maybe it was for something really simple, so he only wants to give him like 20 XP or maybe he had him walk across the wastes to deliver something, so worth more, maybe 200 XP,
then maybe the player who got the xp could have a
receive xp from players cool down based on how much he got, so if someone has 10 level 21 friends they cant just power level him.
it will be a new kind of currency XD what if someone doesn't have caps?
he can trade xp, the other player would receive xp for being " merciful" helping someone out, being a good guy.

instead of transfering XP from char to char, one should be able to give small percentage of his own for free - once per day for example. Percentage shouldnt be big and should be capped, to make this feature enriching gameplay - not free boosting cheatz0rds

Because it was in the game already long time ago. (Edit: Actually, it was not, but it was still kind of similar)
It was taken out, because people killed each other in their base / encounter / some other save location.
You think people don't do it, because it takes too much time? Well, they do it.
And giving xp to someone else sounds unreasonable as well. Plus, it opens up room again for exploits. Even if you think it can't be exploited, it somehow will be, I am pretty sure.
