SGB build
« on: March 12, 2011, 05:32:57 am »

SPECIAL: 5743[10][10]1
Traits: One Hander, Fast Shit
Tags: SG, Science (up to 100%), Repair (up to 120%)
Perks:
LV3 - Awareness
LV6 - Educated
LV9 - Educated
LV12 - Lifegiver
LV15 - Bonus Rate of Fire
LV18 - Action Boy
LV21 - Action Boy
End results:
150 HP, SGunsmith LV3, Armourer LV1, 300% SG + a few points to spare

Pros:
- when using SMGs, you're the least likely to miss
- in case of bankrupcy, you can craft any SG and some leather armors to keep on going
- up to 3 bursts from P90c given that you begin combat, causing 468 - 684 damage* to a single target
 - with Jet you can also reload your weapon
- 1 slave/merc
- can trade
- you will never deteriorate a weapon when you reach level 21

Cons:
- poor distanced crowd control, even though you can fire 6 single P90C shots per turn
- poor criticals, unless you don't take Fast Shot
- limited healing
- low HP
- takes a while (2 weeks irl) for bad reputation to wear off

Cool tip:
Get a holy person and give them a ripper. Dress fancy. Go to NCR/Hub with that holy person slave. When you notice someone failed to rob you, send the slave after them. Sit back and laugh at the poor thief.

Cool tip 2:
Take Finesse instead of Fast Shot. It's gonna be hard to get started. As hard as living with HIV, AIDS, IBS and cancer, all at the same time. Because you won't do damage. And you won't hit as much as before due to increased AP use. But if you get your hands on armor piercing ammo, you will be able to do regular damage, bursting and some critting. But nothing great either.

*Disclaimer: I did not include armor/ammo modifiers in my calculations. Effectiveness of a burst is also affected by the distance separating you from your target and armor modifiers.

My SG3/A1 & FS build:
SPECIAL: 5/6/6/3/9/10/1
Traits: Fast Shot & Whatever you like
Perks: Awarness/Pathfinder 2x/Lifegiver/BRoF/2x AB
Tags: SG 177%, Repair 201%, Out 134% + Science on 100%
HP: 172

Imo for 6PE you don't need that much SG% to hit. I took 2x Path for mobile 3ppl party. You don't need to craft4sell because you get items from ncr/bos vs remants enco and then trade it for $$$ (nowadays money means nothing, so shops are sometimes full of it; same with the ammo - better go encos & trade for ammo instead of digging)

Comments welcome.

200% Repair? What the heck? I never had more than 150%, regular tool and there you go, all repairs actually repair :)

I still can be reached over e-mail if you somehow need anything from me. Don't see a reason why you would, but if you do, e-mail remains the safest bet, as I do not visit this forum reliably anymore.
