So you just copy/pasted them to other standard maps?
The house in the city doesn't match the look of the map/the other wall/tilesets.
The roof doesn't really match to the walls too.

You didn't look carefully, my young padawan. Besides Mapper doesn't work that easy, unfortunately. Every house is different, but just like tents now, they can be placed in many different locations: city, desert, etc.

I wanted to keep the "scavenger" spirit - if you, simple wastelander, construct a small house from junk, it's obvious it won't "fit" or "match" to surrounding area. That's why it looks like this.

Any mistakes or bugs found on those maps so far?

My suggestion

NPC who will sell the plans to build a house.

Cost Plans:

home 1 10 000 caps
home 2 20 000 caps
etc

(maybe together with plans some raw materials 10 junk,10 wood based on a house)

Then use science on the plans
And your house is ready.

Nice.

Still just a tent though.

I wish we could make tents on the urban maps that have the upstairs room.

Or in cave spaces- and keep the cave.

The purchasable plans price, little too much, might as well save up for the 30k base.  I like what you've got so far Wic, the idea of finding an area, then scaving the materials to make a shelter of some kind, SO FALLOUT, love it.  Least in the essence of the world, if not implemented in any of the games lol.  I really think you're on the right track, maybe even opening a door to more craft pieces.

It seems to me that you do tent with 10 skins. Because it is not easy at the beginning of the game. A house think it should be harder to do. A timber and minerals, is easier to get. The base requires a minimum of 3 persons. House required that only one person.

The more I meant to use science on a single item (such as plans or a  house bulding kit). Not on a 3 pacs of items.

Call me crazy, but it would be nice to build a location that allows the addition of 'friends', but not be a faction group base.  Cost a little more for the individual to construct, either materials/caps or both.  The individual could add 'friends' to the location, but not members.  No computer, work bench, etc.  Just a safe location to drop/pick-up gear.

This could be expanded, to allow individuals to create work benchs in their 'house', but the material cost would need to be high, to make it less likely that everyone would do this.

Just saying, call me crazy, but I would like it.  I also really like the idea of having a more permanent structure.

Also, perhaps make the tent build on a empty cave screen allow the brahmin hides to act like a door to the cave.  Just make the cave small, like a dug out, with one container.

I think having a house would be awesome. But it should still be a little shack with maybe 2-3 containers instead of 1. Nothing too extravagant or else everyone would be making houses instead of pumping out 30k for a base. Maybe make it like a tent in the sense that whoever is with you while making the house also owns the house, but you and the people with you can't make or be connected to any other tent/house at all. I think that would make people decide on which is the better option rather than getting the big one.
