Repairing Through Trade
« on: January 29, 2010, 10:43:05 pm »

Just like the title. You should be able to open trade with someone and have them repair the item there without having to actually give them the item. There are people in NCR always offering to repair your stuff, but most people just assume they'll run off with their stuff even though many of them are trustworthy. I just think it's a shame that people are offering to help and most people are afraid of them.

will be hard do code i think - totaly new feature jsut for sake of repairing...

my best guess would be to add something like this :
when use repair on another playe you will repair weapon he is currently holding and if he holds no weapon armor will be repaired - just add popup for the "victim" if he agrees for repair attempt.

should be much simplier to implement this way ^^

I like it as it is now. There's true human interaction involved. The customer needs to give a credit of trust. The repairman needs to work for his reputation. And the other way around if payment is included. There are no artificial rep systems involved, just simple, human opinion. If someone screws you over, you will remeber not to trust him again. And you can tell anyone you want that X is a crook. It makes the game more colorful.
