Noob question ( Havent playd the game)

Thanks for your replies people, all very help ful, i downloaded fallout 2 on an impulse last night, not something i think ive ever done, i had problems getting it  to load ,but got it working today,
I am a slight bit disapointed, and there is a slight chance i will refund my money from gog where i downloaded fallout 2

I played for about 30-40 minutes
so far Ii moved 10 boxes which gave me enough money to buy a gun, but no ammo anywhere.
i tried to sign up for caravan mission but caravan leader says no work today.

Guy in bar gave me mission to take money to someone in junktown, didnt put junktown  on my map ( and i dont remember where junk town is ) so i wandered wastes looking for junktown until i got eaten up by a 4 pack of rats.

so so far not very exciting/interesting, but i will give it another chance and hope it picks up
doesnt seem very easy to get a tent once i get enough stuff to store, but i guess that just noob complaint.

for the first time wasteland will kick your ass. Imagine that you are entering a brand new and unfriendly terrerian without any knowledge nor experience... You just should be betaten up. Dont give up.

i just played the game for about an hour and didnt do jack-sh#$@, I didnt even do brahmin-sh@$#

The guy says pick up brahmin @#$, I pick it up and go talk to him and nothing has changed, and i cant even sell it to him.
so im running around with about 16 brahmin #@$ on my inventory and cant do anything with it, seriously whats the deal with this game?

and do quests reset when you die? i finally get to junk town alive, and was supposed to talk to someone in skum pitt i thought, but with no luck, so there was  a wasted quest.

im trying to be patient here -.-

one of the reasons i liked fallout was because there was so many different things you can choose to do, but so far it seems like if i dont follow the online tutorials word for word im going to get screwed.

He doesn't say "pick up Brahmin shit" - You have to use a shovel to clean it up, not picking it up with your hands.

Getting killed does not influence quests.
