Increasing Junktown Reputation

Some dumbass called Von E... something felt the need to gun me down in Junktown (fortunately he got killed by the guards) but I was in a doorway and now have negative rep meaning the few encounters that I didn't mind because I could just walk away are now similar run-for-the-exit encounters, are there any good ways to raise this?

You can trade to the traders there, but sell them things they dont trade in.

I know, but why did he have to shoot me in the first place? I was just coming out of door and he stopped, pulled out a 10mm SMG and killed me but I got the "You better move"... "Really" etc thing at the bottom.

If you die in a doorway you also get the message about blocking and you lose 100 rep points.
Not sure if this is a bug or a badly executed feature, but I think I already saw it posted in the bug section.

Raising rep with Junktown only succeeded for me when selling stuff to Junkwater.
Both the doc and Neal didn't give me any rep increase for selling them a flamethrower and fuel for nothing.
I didn't try Boyce and Sally.
Selling leather jackets to Junkwater gives you +20 rep per leather jacket.
More expensive armor will give you a higher rep increase.
