The more skilled you are the less you'll learn from dodging an encounter, It won't be new to you to start looking for footprints or other signs of things up ahead.

so my cow is stuck in my tent and I click on it and it says "the cow is busy right now dude, try again later" and i'm like wtf.

Slaver Snipe:
Try alt clicking and tell it to move, that should fix it, if it doesn't have some brahmin steak.

Reginmund:
if it is still stuck after you force it to move with alt+mouse1 option then proceed to use stop all actions, move again if you like or repeat stop all actions.
