When I was looking for unprotected guys in NCR, nice idea bumped into my head.
Let's make NCR more newbie-friendly. Yeah you can think "oh meh gosh it's THIS thread again" or something like "NCR, NCR never changes". But I think that idea is a bit different.
Everyone knows, that Shady Sands is full of thieves, bursters and other scum, everyone except newbies. The point is to "play" sheriff. We can make list of authorized sheriffs, and, as far I know, Idolizeds can shoot without losing the rep(only kills count), who can check if somebody is protected(if not, kill/hit to >0hp).
Also Idolizeds can also kill on sight bursters, and more popular thieves.
If someone wants to fight, go to Hinkley or TC, NCR as a new start of humanity, should be safe city. Also we've just made a small organization specialized in helping newbs, and I'm trying to help if only I can.
Anybody wants to give a chance this semi-rp project?

I guess I don't understand. If you can shoot but not kill someone without losing rep when you're Idolized, how is that telling you whether they're protected or not? Your rep won't tell you either way and the guards won't attack you either, so I don't see how you could tell the difference between someone who's protected and someone who is not. It seems kind of like a witch hunt. If that's the case, then what's the difference between you and any of the other Idolized guys who run around NCR killing whoever they want, except that you're calling yourself Sheriff and claiming you only shoot who you consider to be 'bad' guys? It just sounds kind of like a self-appointed fascism...

First of all I'm not Idolized, and I'm just looking for unprotected guys(and I have method!). If it's a known thief I'm killing him or cripple his every limb and let him lay on exit grid(ofc if he don't know emo command yet). If I see for example 1st lvl guy who is cleaning a brahmin pen, and he is unprotected, propably he was blocking path by accident. I like helping guys like this one.
We have one Idolized guy here, and you lose your rep per shoot(or something like that).
And yeah I'm TRYING to kills that bad guys.

Noone reported this little bug yet? This feature shouldn't work like that, there's simply missing some script that should affect protected players too.

If you were protected before you shoot someone, then you'll get -100 and will lose protection.
So you'll lose only -25 if you fail steal something 1st (if it's not fixed, don't know), or else it's -100. After your death or some hours offline you'll recover protection, so after shooting someone you'll lose rep again, so being Idolized isn't forever, you'll need more and more alts with a time.

Also there's no reason to try to be sheriff in NCR, because it's holiday when you see some thief there, and even more rare, if he found something to steal, and almost epic rare when he failed to steal that shovel or cat's paw magazine from that noob, so you can shoot him after that, and you won't even want to kill him, because if you do, he'll never return and it'll be boring again. Getting reputation and shooting people from max range is much funnier than waiting for some thief. So better start "NCR Raiders" topic, find lot people who want to kill innocent, and then capture NCR with your idolized alts! Or else nothing will be changed there.
